Google Pixel 4a is poised to launch today as the search giant’s latest affordable smartphone. The phone was also speculated to debut at Google I/O in May — just like how it brought the Pixel 3a series at its last year’s convention during the same month. However, Google cancelled this year’s I/O developer conference due to COVID-19 and thus delayed the launch of its new Pixel phone.
Google Pixel 4a is expected to have a single 12.2-megapixel dual pixel phase detection rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, OIS, and 77 degree field of view. Up front, the selfie camera cut out may house a 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84 degree field of view.
Google Pixel 4a has been launched as the company’s latest affordable Pixel phone. The new smartphone comes as a watered down variant of the Pixel 4 and is the successor to the Pixel 3a.
Google Pixel 4a was unveiled on Monday as the latest Pixel phone. The Pixel 4a India launch is set for October. However, it is already available for pre-orders in the US, with its sale scheduled for August 20.
Google Pixel 5 and Google Pixel 4a 5G could reportedly arrive as early as October 8. This is the date the phones are tipped to be available for pre-orders, according to a blog post by Google France.
Google is now teasing the arrival of a new phone on August 3 on its online store. White the teaser doesn’t reveal any details on which this might be, it most likely will be the Pixel 4a. The teaser page suggests the Pixel 4a will have a long-lasting battery and the camera is likely to support macro shots.
Google Pixel 4a is expected to be priced at $349 (roughly Rs. 26,400) for the 128GB model, which will make it $50 (roughly Rs. 3,700) cheaper than the previously expected price.
Alleged Google Pixel 4a images have surfaced online, and aside from revealing its design, they also tip the upcoming phone’s asking price.
